Visa Introduction:
This visa is mainly for overseas students who come to Australia to study for a Bachelor Degree, Graduate Certificate/Graduate Diploma, and Master by Coursework.
Visa features:
Visa length
Depending on the length of the course, if the studies are not completed, the visa can be renewed until the studies are fully completed.
Work permissions
Visa holders and accompanying family members are not allowed to work before the course starts. After the course starts, visa holders and accompanying family members can work up to 40 hours per fortnight.
Graduation Arrangements
The current visa policy supports students who have completed an undergraduate degree in Australia and can apply for a two-year graduate work visa upon graduation.
Visa suitable for people:
Graduated from a domestic high school or completed the equivalent of grade 12 (with a high school diploma and college entrance examination scores)
Completed the second year of high school in China or completed an equivalent degree equivalent to Grade 11 (if you have high school exam results, you can first apply for Australia's Foundation Course)
Technical school and technical secondary school graduates
College and university students
Completed a Certificate IV or higher course in Australia
Visa IELTS requirements
Currently, visas are divided into two types: streamlined and non-streamlined.
For Streamline applicants, language requirements are primarily determined by the admission requirements of Australian universities. Visa applications themselves do not require an IELTS score. For non-Streamline applicants, a minimum IELTS score of 5.0 is required. However, if you are studying at a university, the institution may have specific IELTS requirements, generally requiring a minimum overall score of 6.0.
Visa financial guarantee requirements
Streamline applicants no longer have a deposit requirement for visas, but they do need to prove they have sufficient funds to study abroad. The specific financial documentation required varies from applicant to applicant, so please consult us.
Non-streamline applicants need to meet the following financial guarantee requirements:
Bank deposit form
The deposit must be deposited three months before submitting your visa application. The deposit can be in the name of the applicant, spouse, parents, or grandparents. If an aunt or uncle is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen, their funds can also serve as the applicant's deposit. These funds must be available cash in a bank account. Financial products such as stocks and mutual funds are not acceptable. These funds must remain in the bank account during the visa review period.
Study Abroad Loan Forms
If the applicant cannot provide bank deposits for more than three months, bank loans are also acceptable. Currently, the Australian Immigration Department recognizes two types of student loans: cash pledge (a small loan against a larger loan) and property mortgage. Cash pledges can be processed on the same day as visa applications, and banks generally disburse the loan the same day. Property mortgages typically require at least a week and involve procedures such as property appraisals and the pledge of a portion of cash. Please contact us for details on loan options.
